Dr. Suman Kumar, Associate Professor, Political Science, Rajdhani College, University of Delhi has been teaching for last 24 years. He has published articles on a wide range of issues including Gandhian studies, Gender studies, Indian politics etc. He has also authored a creative piece in Hindi on the complexities of human emotions of youth; titled, Falsafa. The research articles of Dr. Suman Kumar includes; New Education Policy, Article 370 and 35 A etc. His area of interest is Indian politics and at the same times a keen reader of hindi literature. He has been visitor’s nominee in the Court of Banaras Hindu University. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the education ministry for minority educational institutions. He has also been actively involved with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for programmes and initiatives organized by the ministry. Barun Kumar Mishra is Assistant Professor of English at Rajdhani College, University of Delhi.He has been actively involved in research of English language teaching in India. Barun Kumar Mishra is associated with FORTELL (forum for teachers of English language and literature) as its treasurer and contributed several articles to its journal.He has translated Problematizing English in India into Hindi. Barun Kumar Mishra edited the book Environment Health and society, published by Academic Publishers New Delhi in 2021. He has published two articles in Hindi journal ‘KalKeLiye’ on socio-cultural aspects of Hindi belt. Barun Kumar Mishra has translated the poetry of eminent Hindi poet Dr. Hemant Kukreti and also authored e-lessons on translation and interpreting for ILLL, University of Delhi, and text material for distant learners of University of Pune and School of Open Learning University of Delhi. He is certified expert of Aviation English and works with Airport Authority of India to train and certify the traffic contollers across the country. Barun Kumar Mishra is also empaneled with National Translation Mission and several other national and state level testing and recruitment organisations in India.

About The Book

The Book seeks to look in its broader scope at the issue of Princely states and their merger after independence to the Republic of India; along with the accompanying challenges posed pre and post amalgamation. In its more specific focus, it seeks to explore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and the divergent reactions to its revocation in 2019. This academic platform through this publication brings out the plural voices about policy, social, cultural and literary narratives from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. It takes this shape of a book upon the ideas and perspectives derived from the national seminar on the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 held in Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, on 6th and 7th February 2020.
