College Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He Possesses a prolong experience of teaching and research works pertaining of Indian Government and Politics in current perspective. In the history of Indian public policy, ancient texts such as the Arthashastra by Chanakya signify early instances of policy considerations. Under British colonial rule, India was influenced by Western governance models, often serving colonial interests over indigenous ones. Post-independence, India adopted a democratic system based on secular, socialist, and federalist principles. Early public policy efforts focused on nation-building and rapid industrialization. Over time, Indian public policy has adapted to changing circumstances, with recent initiatives like Digital India and Make in India reflecting ambitions for digitalization and industrial growth. Factors such as colonial legacies, societal diversity, and public expectations have shaped the evolution of Indian public policy, leading to dynamic topics ranging from nation-building to security. The policymaking process in India has been characterized by a blend of continuity and change, consensus and conflict, centralization and decentralization, and varying levels of participation and exclusion.
