Ms. Purva Bhalla is currently pursing Doctor of Philosophy in Geography from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. Her doctoral research focusses on 'Subjective Well Being of Millennials Tourist through Digital Experience of Tourism: Challenges and Prospects in Indian context'. She earned M.Phil. Degree in Geography from the Delhi School of Economics in 2017 and produced an excellent dissertation on 'Life style choices and health status among young girls in Urban Delhi'. Ms. Bhalla also obtained Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Geography from the Delhi School of Economic, Delhi University in 2013. She received Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, New Delhi (2011). Ms. Bhalla previously worked as a Research Analyst as part of the research project entitled 'Impact Assessment of CSR Project, Corpus contribution for establishing Vivekananda Centre and Yoga, Naturopathy and Research, New Delhi' supported by the Oil and Natural Gas Organization (ONGC), India and Centre for Study Regional Development (CSRD), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Her research interests include Youth and Lifestyle Transition; Social Networks and Demographic Behavior; Population, Environment, Health and Development Policies; Mixed-method research and GIS applications. Her research work has been published from reputed national and international publishers including Springer-Nature. Dr. Praveen Kumar Pathak is currently working as an Associate Professor in Geography, Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. Previously, Dr Pathak served in regular faculty positions as an Assistant Professor of Geography at the Delhi School of Economics (DSE), University of Delhi (2014-2019); University of Pune (2013-2014); Shivaji University, Kolhapur (2010-2013), and Ravenshaw University, Cuttack (2010). Dr Pathak carned PhD in Population Studies from the International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai in 2016. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, English Literature and Education from the Ewing Christian College (E.C.C.), University of Allahabad (2004) and Master of Arts in Geography from the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi (2006). He received a Master of Philosophy in Population Studies from the International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai (2008). His current research focuses on social and geographic inequalities in the population health, environment and sustainable development. Dr. Pathak published more than a dozen research papers in peer-reviewed journals including Health & Place (Elsevier), Social Science & Medicine (Elsevier), PLOS ONE and BMC Public Health (Springer-Nature). He is also serving as an Associate Editor of Journal of Biosocial Science (Cambridge University Press, UK), Associate Editor of Frontiers in Human Dynamics; and Academic Editor at PLOS ONE. Dr Pathak participated in the prestigious Young Scientist Summer Program (YSSP) at IIASA, Laxenburg, Vienna, Austria (2013). Dr. Pathak is a PRB-Policy Communication Fellow, Washington DC, USA (2013-14). Besides, Dr Pathak has been Visiting Scholar at the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID), Vienna, Austria; Harvard Center of Population and Development Studies (HCPDS), Harvard University; Initiative in Population Research (IPR), Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
