Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar is serving as Professor of Economics at the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (U.P.) India. He has a teaching & research experience at University Level for more than 22 Years. He is also performing as Adjunct Professor at Chitkara University, Chandigarh. He has lectured widely in India & abroad on the various issues related to Indian Economy and Development Economics. He also serves as editor-in- chief of a peer reviewed & refereed national research journal "Journal of Socio-Economic Review" published by Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. "He has successfully guided Post-Doctoral Fellows (4), Ph.D. (5) & M.Phil. (45) scholars. He has authored several valued research papers and book chapters in leading books of Economics. He has edited a book "Environment and Sustainable Development in India- Issues & Challenges". He has authored two books entitled "Indian Economy-Performance & Policies" and "Economic Thoughts of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar". He has completed three major research projects sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi and Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut."Prof Kumar has also served as Honorary Secretary of Indian Economic Association. He has also served as Head, Department of Economics & founding coordinator of B.A. Honors in Economics at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. He is also an awardee of Educational/Cultural & Exchange Bilateral Fellowship by Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi & National Research Council of Thailand, Thailand (Under ICSSR-NRCT Exchange of Scholars Program). He has also chaired a session in an international conference at Florida, USA.

About The Book

Research is the careful consideration of study regarding a particular concern or problem using scientific methods. According to the American sociologist Earl Robert Babbie, "research is a systematic inquiry to describe, explain, predict, and control the observed phenomenon. It involves inductive and deductive methods." Inductive methods analyze an observed event, while deductive methods verify the observed event. Research methodology is a way of explaining how a researcher intends to carry out their research. It's a logical, systematic plan to resolve a research problem. A methodology details a researcher's approach to the research to ensure reliable, valid results that address their aims and objectives. It encompasses what data they're going to collect and where from, as well as how it's being collected and analyzed.
