Dr. Manvender Singh is presently working as Professor in Department of Biotechnology, UIET, M.D. University, Rohtak, Haryana (India). He has published more than 60 research articles in International and National journals of repute. He has the privilege of chairing International and national level seminars. He is Fellow of several academic bodies and societies. He is the recipient of several awards for excellence in academics. Dr. Veer Bhan is presently working as Associate Professor in Department of Biotechnology, UIET, MDU, Rohtak. He has taught Genetics, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Diagnostic Techniques, Biostatistics, Bioethics & Biosafety, Animal Biotechnology, etc. subjects to Undergraduate and Post Graduate students during last 15 years. The author has completed two major research project awarded by UGC and DST. The author has published more than 50 research papers in International and National journals of repute. He has authored two books published by International Publisher. He has attended more than 20 International and National Conferences. He is the life member of different International and National societies of Science and Research.

About The Book

This book has been designed to meet the needs of B.Sc. students of Botany for University students under the recommended National Education Policy 2020. It comprehensively covers the theoretical and practical aspect of the paper Biomolecules and Cell Biology. The theory part of the text introduces the students to develop an understanding about the structure, properties and functions of biomolecules. Classification, properties and functions of enzymes have been explained in detail. It also discusses the cell wall, cell membrane and the structure and functions of cellular organelles. Students will also be able to learn eukaryotic cell cycle, mitosis and meiosis. Relevant experiments corresponding to the theoretical topics and examples have been presented systematically to help students achieve sound conceptual understanding and learn the experimental procedures.
